プロフィールにも書いたように、最新の流行や技術の真っ先に飛びつくほうではないが、半歩遅れてついて行くのを信条にしている。
インターネット・メールが普及する以前の１９９２年ごろ、ワープロパソコン通信時代のＮｉｆｔｙｓｅｒｖｅに加入したのもその信条のしからしめたものであろう。
ところがNIFTY社はその歴史ある旧式のワープロパソコン通信のサービスを昨日３月３１日をもって廃止してしまった。その結果、長年慣れ親しんだ古女房同然のメール・ソフトNifty Managerともお別れである。
メール友には昨夜「さようなら！Niftyserve｣とのメッセージを送った。
想い出は美しいが、そこに止まっていては進歩がない。この記念すべき日に長年お世話になったＮＩＦＴＹのＨＰ上にＢｌｏｇを開設して、思い出を踏み越えて断固前進することにした。
先輩諸兄姉にはよろしくご指導を賜りたい。
